The Future Is Now: Your National Weather Service Today and Tomorrow

This facilitated discussion was held at the 2011 Mid-Year Conference of the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) to explore the future direction of the National Weather Service, including the expansion of direct personal assistance to emergency managers and new technologies that are on the horizon to support the key emergency management partnership. The discussion is separated into eight videos: an introduction and comments by Laura Furgione, presentations by four panelists, and three videos representing questions from the audience.
