What if I forget my username or password?

If you forget your username or password, you can reset it by selecting the appropriate icon under the log-in boxes at the top of each page on the NEMA website. You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address, and the NEMA system will generate an e-mail that provides your username or enables you to reset your password.

How can I be a conference sponsor or exhibitor?

NEMA conference sponsorships and exhibits are limited and sell out rapidly. NEMA sends an e-mail to all NEMA members when sponsorship and exhibit opportunities open. For approximately two weeks after these opportunities become available, only applications from NEMA members are considered, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Any remaining openings are then made available to non-members.

What is the NEMA library?

Document Library ImageThe NEMA library is an online repository of the association's documents. The primary view displays documents spanning the past three years. Users may browse within this view by expanding folders to drill down to desired files, and a search-by-keyword is available as well.

Using the Advanced Search tab, users may search for documents from both the past three years and the library archives.

The document library is permissions based, so NEMA members gain access to a significant number of documents not viewable to the general public. 

The document library is accessible through the Resources option of the main menu.

 

 

What is the EM Advocate?

EM AdvocateThe EM Advocate is a monthly electronic newsletter published by NEMA. The newsletter contains the latest news and information about emergency management and homeland security issues. NEMA members receive the EM Advocate in their e-mail inboxes on the last Friday of each month.

How do I get a copy of an invoice or a receipt for membership or a NEMA conference?

What is EMAC?

EMAC logoThe Emergency Management Assistance Compact, or EMAC, is an interstate mutual aid agreement administered by NEMA. EMAC is a U.S. Congress–ratified law (in 1996, as Public Law 104-321) and has been passed in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Through EMAC, states may share any resource with another state during an emergency or disaster, whether natural or man-made.  To learn more about EMAC, visit the EMAC website.

What is EMAP?

EMAP logoThe Emergency Management Assessment Program, or EMAP, is a standards-based voluntary assessment and peer review accreditation process for government emergency management agencies. EMAP is a stand-alone, not-for-profit organization that was spun from NEMA. For more information about EMAP, visit the EMAP website.
