Dear Colleagues:
I invite you to join me at the NEMA 2009 Mid-Year Conference and 35th Anniversary Celebration in Alexandria, VA. This conference provides an opportunity for us to come together in our nation's capitol to discuss the many challenges that face us today, share solutions, grow professionally and network with peers. During the conference we will hear from those involved in shaping the future of homeland security and emergency management, strengthen relationships with our partner organizations, and share NEMA's views on all hazards emergency preparedness with the leadership in Washington.
This year is a very special one for NEMA as we celebrate 35 years of service to emergency management. To honor this historic milestone we have a number of special events planned for the Mid-Year Conference. NEMA will host a 35th Anniversary Gala on March 7 and we are honored to have Doris Kearns Goodwin and Larry Sabato confirmed to speak during the conference plenary sessions. This will be a truly special conference and we look forward to a great turnout.
It continues to be NEMA's goal to enhance the overall capabilities of emergency management to meet the challenge of any and all disasters facing our country. Please join us in Alexandria, VA to learn and share with your fellow NEMA members and emergency management professionals.
